About Kunlong

Kunlong graduated from Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology in 2019. The same year, he joined the research group of Professor Xu Liwen and Professor Cao Jian of Hangzhou Normal University. In 2022, he completed his master's research, mainly studying transition metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction from C-X and Si-X bonds. In 2022, he began PhD studies at the University of Lyon (UCBL). He joined the SCORE team (ICBMS) under the guidance of Dr Maurice Médebielle and Dr Jérémy Merad.

Research interests

His research focuses on merging organocatalysis with photoredox catalysis/electrochemistry to design original transformations. He is particularly interested in developing new approaches to generate isothiouronyl radical cations by single-electron transfers and exploring their use as catalysts in covalent radical catalysis.
