Mme Béatrice PELOTIER

Bio

After getting her degree in chemical engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, Béatrice received her PhD degree from the University of Aix-Marseille under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Marc Pons, in collaboration with Prof. Philip J. Kocienski (University of Glasgow). She then moved to the UK to carry out postdoctoral studies in the group of Prof. Varinder K. Aggarwal at the University of Sheffield, then at the University of Bristol, before working for 2 years in GlaxoSmithKline (Stevenage) as a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow. In 2003, she joined the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 as associate professor.

Research thematiques

Her research area of interest include the asymmetric synthesis of biologically active compounds and the development of pot and step economy strategies to access high value molecules from simple building blocks.
