Bio

During his PhD (1999-2001), Dr Laurent Soulère worked under the supervision of Prof Jacques Périé and Dr Pascal Hoffmann at the University of Paul Sabatier (Toulouse, France). He was then post-doc fellow in the Prof Herbert Waldmann’s group in Dortmund, Germany (2002-2003). In September 2003, he work at the University of Perpignan at the laboratory of Chemistry of biomolecules and Environment. In 2004, he joined as Maître de conferences (INSA LYON) the Institute for Molecular and Supramolecular Chemistry and Biochemistry (ICBMS, Lyon, France) in the Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry team.

Research interests

His research interest is focused on the chemistry of bioactives molecules targeting bacterial quorum sensing and the FtsZ protein; the chemistry of biomolecules, in particular lipids and phospholipids and also molecular modelling study.
