Bio

Spécialisé en glycochimie et chimie biosourcée, Yves Queneau (Directeur de Recherche au CNRS) est diplômé de l’université d’Orsay (doctorat avec le Prof André Lubineau) et ancien post-doc du groupe du Prof Samuel J. Danishefsky à New York. Il a travaillé à Lyon depuis 1995, d’abord responsable d’une unité mixte industrielle dédiée à la chimie biosourcée à partir de sucres, puis a rejoint l’équipe COB de l’ICBMS. Il est l’auteur de plus de 195 articles, chapitres et brevets, et enseigne la glycochimie et la chimie durable à l’université de Hull (Royaume-Uni) comme Honorary professor depuis 2009, à l’Université de Savoir Mont Blanc (Chambéry, France) et à la Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan, China). Il est éditeur pour la série de livres SPR Carbohydrate Chemistry de la Royal Society of Chemistry et est fortement impliqué dans les relations entre la Chine et la France en chimie durable, notamment par l’organisation des French Chinese Conferences on Green chemistry (FC2GChem).

Thèmes de recherche

Yves Queneau developpe ses projets en glycochimie dans ses aspects biologiques et de chimie durable, ce qui inclut la conception de nouvelles molécules biosourcées à aprtir de sucrs ou de molécules plateformes. En chimie biologique, il s’intéresse notamment à la conception de nouveaux composés dans le domaine des antimicrobiens.
