Clément studied at the CPE Lyon chemistry school and obtained his engineering degree in 2022, as well as his Master’s degree in organic chemistry at UCBL. As part of his studies, he spent a year in Munich, Germany, working at Origenis GmbH on the synthesis of new kinase inhibitors. Then, in 2022, he joined the SURCOOF team (ICBMS Lyon - UMR 5246) for his Master’s degree internship, under the supervision of Dr. Thierry Billard and Dr. Fabien Toulgoat. He then continued his studies with a PhD in the same team, working on new access routes toward emerging fluorinated groups.
